Are there any signs I should look out for?

Parents must remember that not all children are the same, and if unsure your 3 years old child is making progress, ask for advice should you repeatedly observe the following:

  • Falls down a lot or cannot climb stairs
  • Drools or it’s difficult to understand what he says
  • Does not work out how to play with simple toys
  • Does not speak in sentences (i.e. me, happy)
  • Does not understand simple sentences (such as, please, sit down)
  • Does not play pretend or make believe
  • Does not want to play with other children or with toys
  • Does not make eye contact
