Are there any signs I should look out for?

Parents must remember that not all children are the same, and if unsure your 4 years old child is making progress, ask for advice should you repeatedly observe the following:

  • Cannot jump in one place
  • Finds scribbling challenging
  • Shows no interest in interactive games
  • Ignores other children
  • Does not respond to people outside the family
  • Resists dressing, sleeping and using the toilet
  • Cannot retell a favourite story
  • Does not follow three steps command: pick up your toys and books, and put them back, please!
  • Does not understand same-different (these are apples, one is green, and the other one is red)
  • Does not use “me” and “you” correctly
  • Speaks unclearly
  • Loss of skills once had
