Being confident: managing feelings and emotions

Children at age five begin to achieve a sense of confidence especially when having to manage emotions in front of other children and adults. As a parent, you need to consider that the transition from home to school is a major event in your child’s life. Your child will need to feel safe and secure and will succeed with your support, praise and encouragement.
