Time for starting pre-school
Your child is now five! This is an important time in their lives when they make important transitions. Most children at age 5 start school either pre-primary or the first year. They are now confident and ready to widen the home environment to attend pre-school or first year.
As a parent, it is also an important change, as your child will spend more time outside the home, will make new friends and engage in more challenging milestones.
At age 5, children enjoy being with other children and work cooperatively in group activities to display creativity in games, drawings and pretend play. Socially, they feel comfortable expressing views and moods, and also know social rules and behaviour boundaries.
In school they can pay attention for longer periods and concentrate in class activities. They talk in full sentences and with clear expression and confidently display their coordination and movements.
